Sculpture installation with curator Suzanne Van de Ven
Kunsthalle Friedricianum, Kassel, Germany, 2003
This site specific project was installed in the main floor gallery of the Friedricianum. The installation addressed the architectural layering of walls and structures of the building over time, as it evolved in reaction to an extreme range of historical events, by creating an addition to the ceiling beams by two meters throughout the entire hall. The atmosphere and perspective of the gallery space was monumentally altered, producing a vaulting effect as the viewer traversed the space, through a dramatic illusion of depth perception.
